Attempting to update my repository on our Ubuntu VPS running the gutsy 7.10 version…I noticed that I was getting 404 ERRORs caused by the distribution being moved from its normal place within the mirrors.
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu gutsy main restricted universe multiverse
replace all the URL’s with http://old-releases.ubuntu.com
you should now be able to update your packages etc from this URL.
Gutsy Gibbon? I think there is a 2 year support cycle for Ubuntu releases, looks like Gutsy’s cycle ended last month. you should really consider upgrading to 9.04
Yip, we are planning to upgrade to 9.04..problem is that the hosting provider doesn’t have the provision to upgrade to the latest. I performed a mock upgrade but ran into issues that are specific to the host providers configuration..hopefully they will have this new version available soon
