At Dynamic Controls the Unidrive team was just that, the Unidrive team. Business As Usual (BAU) was handled by others. As a contracted tech writer I was just a fly on the wall, but it gave me a chance to see that the cost of a dedicated team was piling on the pressure for management. I don't know about you, but I find it takes a herculean effort to pull my mind from one programming task to another. It invites errors, and it creates stress and irritability. I say at any cost have a separate BAU team if you possibly can.
